Taking place during April, in conjunction with Cancer Awareness Month, the annual contest lets American men and women cast their votes for their favorite brand of underwear. This year, HerRoom.com, the organizer of The Undie Awards, has pledged to donate twenty-five cents for each individual voter (up to 100,000 voters) to The National Cervical Cancer Public Education Campaign (www.cervicalcancercampaign.org).
“If more education can save lives and wipe out cervical cancer, we’re prepared to step up and support that ideal,” says Tomima Edmark, Founder and President of HerRoom.com. “Just go to The Undie Awards, cast your votes and click the Count Me In! button. We’ll donate twenty-five cents for every voter who does that. Last year we received 12,500 votes and we hope to get many more this year. If 100,000 people vote this year we’ll donate twenty-five thousand dollars to the fund.”
To participate in The Undie Awards, voters enter information about their body type and size so that a comprehensive list of the best voter-chosen underwear can be compiled. This data allows HerRoom.com to see not only the overall winners, but also the best underwear for each specific body type, from plus-size lingerie to thongs to sexy underwear. Once the voting process is complete the voter can click the Count Me In! button to be included in click the Count Me In! button to be included in the cervical cancer education campaign donation.
By teaming up with the Cervical Cancer Public Education Campaign, which provides women with vital information about prevention of this disease, HerRoom.com continues its commitment to both the comfort and health of women.
At TheUndies.com, you can view past Undie Awards winners, check out the most popular sellers, and find helpful fit and important health tips. Each year, HerRoom.com publishes a comprehensive results report of The Undie Awards, providing women of every shape and size helpful information in selecting the right fit and style of underwear. HerRoom.com also created the Bounce Test, which offers a series of videos displaying the effectiveness of sports bras designed for high-impact activities, as well as providing research data about breast movement during exercise and the issue of breast pain.
